Meditations in Color
backThis collection is my first foray into generative art and I'm really excited about this mode of creating. I wrote the code to generate these unique, animated, mandala-like patterns and before generating each piece, I manually set the fill shapes and sizes, number of spokes, and colors. After a pattern is generated, I decide whether to mint it and if so, manually adjust the tempo, duration, and point of reversal for the flow before finalizing each piece. The resultant piece features the pattern being created, frame-by-frame, growing from nothing to a soothing, colorful design and then subsiding again into nothing.
The engineer in me found peace in working through the code, and the artist (and human) in me, finds peace in watching the patterns.
My hope is that there’s a piece in this collection that appeals to everyone; that everyone can lose themselves in the pattern, flow, and colors of at least one work.
